Length 119 cm; string length 107 cm; width (forehead 14.5 cm, shoulder 18.2 cm, tail 12.5 cm); thickness 6.3 cm

The top is made of Chinese fir and lacquered in black. The bottom is made of catalpa wood and lacquered in chestnut-brown. The name of the qin can be translated as, ‘the sound of water coming from a spring as that coming from the base of the tongue.’
